Please join our Craft Circle Community where you can work on your knitting, crochet, tatting, embroidery, or any craft you like!  We get together every other Monday from 1PM to 4PM to have a chance to be social and creative together.    The space is large with chairs, tables, and plugs on the floor for any electronic equipment you need to bring (computer, light, etc.).  This is not a class so there will be no instruction but we do encourage and learn from each other as well as enjoy conversation.

Embroidery - Choose your own Kit! For Teens (ages 13+) & Adults

This class is perfect for the beginner or anyone wanting to learn with Laura! In this class you will learn the ins-and-outs of how to embroidery including threading an embroidery needle, tying a knot, and all the stitches needed to complete one of the many beautiful kits available to choose from.

Cost includes a kit and all supplies needed to complete the workshop. Kit is a $28 value!
Students may pick from kits we have on hand. You can come in and choose one early if you like!

Presentation: Mental Wellness and the Art of Embroidery

Embroidery is an ancient art dating back to the beginning of civilization.  It developed in cultures all around the globe.  It has been an appreciated and valued art form through the centuries and now is being discovered and recognized for a different reason. It’s good for mental health and wellness.  Laura Tandeske will share her personal journey of 50+ years embroidering and how it has helped her wellbeing as well as how embroidery is being used to help many people around the world.

Beginning Embroidery

Join us to learn the basics of embroidery like separating embroidery floss, threading a needle, tying a knot, and the basic stitches needed to complete most of the embroidery kits available in the shop.

Students may bring an embroidery kit purchased from the shop or use practice fabric and floss provided in the class. 

Course fee covers two hours of instruction and practice materials. Embroidery kits may be purchased separately.

Beginning Embroidery Mandala with Hello Stitch

In this beginning embroidery class you will learn the tips and tricks of embroidery that are not written about in books.  You will learn tried and true techniques for threading a needle, tying a knot, and how to keep your thread from tying itself in knots as you embroider!  Included in class is a kit with all instructions to complete a beautiful geometric mandala.  You will be instructed how to transfer a design to fabric and complete the following stitches: Woven Wheel, Stem, Chain, buttonhole, French Knot, and Herringbone.  Join us as we delve into this ancient and healing art.
