FREE - Presentation “Mental Wellness and the Art of Embroidery”

  • Berkeley Library Main Branch, 3rd floor community room 2090 Kittredge Street Berkeley, CA, 94704 United States (map)

Embroidery is an ancient art dating back to the beginning of civilization.  It developed in cultures all around the globe.  It has been an appreciated and valued art form through the centuries and now is being discovered and recognized for a different reason. It’s good for mental health and wellness.  I will share my personal journey of 50+ years embroidering and how it has helped my wellbeing as well as how embroidery is being used to help many people around the world.

I will be joining the established by-weekly Fiber Arts craft circle giving the talk in the first hour and then I will join the circle stitching for the second hour. This event is free and requires no registration.
