FAQs

Where do you teach?

1

I teach all over the Bay Area CA at different places. You can see where on my website pages about classes. I also do private classes for individuals and groups in the Bay Area CA.

Do you teach online?

2

I don’t usually teach online. There are some really good online resources for instruction already and not many people teaching in-person. I prefer teaching in-person and it’s easier for students to learn with direct interaction.

How do I get on your mailing list?

3

Write your name and email in the form below and I will add you to my information mailing list. The mailing list is never shared or sold and it’s easy to be removed if you wish. I send out an email occasionally to share new classes or events.

Do you do commissions?

4

I don’t normally do commissions but I am actively looking for someone to recommend when the question comes up. I often get requests and would love to find someone to suggest. The request I get the most is usually for weddings. I will do the occasional collaboration with other artists. Collaboration is a great way to stretch as an artist!

Do you teach other types of embroidery such as needlepoint, goldwork, blackwork, beading, etc?

5

My specialty is Surface Embroidery meaning it’s not counted. I like to embroider on clothes so I chose to dive deep into the 100’s of embroidery stitches available rather than learn many different embroidery techniques so no I don’t teach other techniques but I am actively looking to expand the in-person embroidery teachers in the area to offer a wider breadth of instruction.

How can I arrange a custom one-on-one class or custom group class?

6

On the custom classes page you can see descriptions of all the possibilities for interesting one-on-one classes or custom group classes. To arrange a class just email me at tandeskeembroidery@gmail.com .
