Transformation - Hand Embroidery with cotton floss on Vietnam era American Army Jacket

A garment worn in war transformed with symbols, actions, and intentions of joy. I have been embroidering on Vietnam era American Army Jackets for 40 years. The idea came from a college friend who was a Vietnam Vet. He liked the idea of transforming materials of war into art. This is the epitome of free speech that he volunteered to fight for.
